Roboplan’s technical team carry out certified Yaskawa formation

The past week, a Roboplan team made its way to Barcelona to carry through a certified Yaskawa formation.

In Yaskawa Academy of Gavá, six technicians of our team spent approximately 30 hours in intense formation. Throughout 5 days, the team covered topics such as:

• Fundamental techniques regarding preventive and corrective maintenance to YASKAWA Motoman robots;
• Fine-tuning of advanced programming techniques with the help of virtual reality simulation using the MotoSIM EG-VRC software;
• Security systems, namely FSU (Functional Safety Unity) and its integration in robotized solutions (Advantages, operating modes and configuration…);
• Installation and external network configuration;
• Remote control with the communication protocol ethernet IP;

Our technicians also had the opportunity to meet and explore the latest collaborative Yaskawa – HC20 robot, the SmartPendant, as well as standard YASKAWA ArcWorld RS Mini cells.

To Carlos Teixeira, a robotics technic since 2009, this formation “had the purpose to consolidate technical knowledge, which can be used to quickly respond to daily problems and challenges our clients face, in a quick and orderly fashion. Through this deepening of knowledge, we can obtain techniques that will help us keep our customers satisfied”. He further stresses “all the team spirit and organization that unfolded in these 5 days of learning and sharing information.”
