Yaskawa is carrying out a growth plan
Yaskawa Ibérica, a delegation of the Japanese company that manufactures industrial robots, variators, servomotors and motion controllers for Spain and Portugal, will open its new headquarters in the Iberian Peninsula, located in Viladecans, next September.
With the clear commitment to reaffirm itself as a pioneer company in the automation sector, Yaskawa is carrying out a growth plan to expand its production capacity in Europe, considering Spain a strategic enclave.
In this sense, Laurent Bodin, CEO of Yaskawa Ibérica, states that "the opening of this new headquarters represents the same commitment to increase the production of our entire range of products in Europe, grow in the Iberian market and continue to offer our automation solutions for personalized way for all companies in the industrial sector.” He adds: “this is another step in our strategy to achieve the goals we have set for 2027: to double the production volume and reach the target market shares for our segments and divisions strategies”.
In 2019, Yaskawa demonstrated all its pioneering spirit by building a robot production plant in Europe, which allows it to reduce delivery and supply chain times and react more quickly to regional requirements and the needs of its customers.
With a clear benefit also for Roboplan, the new facilities in the Iberian Peninsula will allow to expand the services offered and increase the distribution capacity of Drives, Motion, Control, Robotics and System Business products, as well as new and larger spaces for the Yaskawa Academy, the company's Iberian training centre.
The new headquarters, which will open in September, but whose management will be operational from June 1, will occupy a completely independent building on Avda. Siglo XXI in Viladecans, strategically located, as it will be just a few minutes from the city of Barcelona and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona - El Prat Airport, not far from the current location.
