Yaskawa started its expansion strategy for Europe some time ago and today aims to become one of the main manufacturers of industrial robots in the European market.
Since 2018, after the opening of the new logistics center in Slovenia, Yaskawa has been producing robots with ‘seal’ Made in Europe. Included in the network of 28 production units spread over 12 countries around the world, the Kočevje plant in Slovenia, allows to satisfy about 80% of European production needs and simultaneously allows the reduction of delivery times as well as its supply chain.
Meeting the growing demand from the markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and reinforcing its position as the main reference in the robotics sector, Yaskawa produces at the Kočevje unit, around 10 000 industrial robots per year, of the most varied models of the its range.
This brand bet on this unit is not limited to the production of robots, as it also has a development and innovation center, making Yaskawa one of the largest technology suppliers in the world.
In an era marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought and continues to bring devastating economic consequences and forced the adaptation and reinvention of production processes in the industry, automation and robotics are seen as a major bet for companies to mitigate the impact of this crisis that affects the whole world.
In addition to becoming a tool to be able to work more intuitively with greater connectivity, industrial robots integrate safer production systems that consequently result in fewer accidents at work and reduce contact between humans. Nowadays and in an era of revolution 4.0, robotics is still a synonym for improving the quality of life in people, processes and finished products in industries.
At the end of 2020 and looking to the future, Yaskawa Europe announced a new investment of around 23M €, for the construction of a new corporate headquarters in the Hattersheim industrial park - Frankfurt (Germany), with opening scheduled for 2022.
