For more than 6 years, Roboplan has been a certified company regarding the ISO9001 norm, an internationally recognized norm.
When talking with Ricardo Pata, head of the Quality Department, we discovered a few details and challenges that this norm poses.
The ISO9001 norm helps independent organizations in their activity with orientation and concepts that allow for a quality management.
When questioned about the ISO9001 certification at Roboplan, Ricardo Pata states that "the organization pursued, since the beginning of its activity, to stand out on the market with the intention to provide to their customers a product of excellence". Nowadays, the national and international acknowledgement, utilizing "good practices" through the fulfillment of requirements, is a differentiating and valued factor.
The systematization of the processes and fulfillment/involvement of people in assuming that these processes are fulfilled on a day-to-day basis, are some of the challenges noted by Ricardo Pata that "allow us to obtain different elements to make quick and assertive decisions".
Furthermore, the use of technologies that allow to automize and make simpler daily processes, maintaining our focus on the client and a clear reading of the involved processes were highlighted.
To Ricardo Pata, this norm "allows us to help independent organizations with their activity using orientations and concepts that results in a quality management, which reflects mostly on a continuous improvement on the processes of the organization.
He concludes, stating "the existence of supporting tools towards management and the assessment of the state of an organization that will help in anticipating trends and allows us to make right decisions is of extreme importance, due to it being impossible to control without measuring".
