In this article, we address Roboplan's achievement of recognition of suitability in R&D activities and the importance of innovation as a growth factor for companies.
Generator of wealth and value, innovation is one of the main engines of growth and competition of the Portuguese economy which has the goal of increasing the levels of productivity, creating qualified jobs, and raising the standard of living in Portugal.
Of the simplest of ideas or of the worst catastrophe, new challenges always arise and, consequently, new solutions. Not only having the development of new products as the basis of innovation, as well as new services or even new business models can be an excellent result of innovation, to answer the most varied of problems in our society.
More specifically in the industry, there are several challenges of which companies face daily, whether they are to optimize processes or to solve problems. This is how, a lot of times, due to the absence of a qualified work force, the companies resorted to I&D centers, educational institutions, namely universities and scientific research centers, or a network of specialized partnerships.
Allied to all the specialized technical knowledge is the technology that evolves at a rapid pace on all levels. The IOT (Internet Of Things) or virtual reality are examples of technological results synonyms of innovation, which help nowadays to cultivate deals and promote businesses throughout the world.
On the perspective of accompanying this evolution, in 2020, Roboplan applied with Agência Nacional da Inovação, for the recognition as a worthy entity for the practice of investigation and development activities (I&D), on the Technical-Scientific domain, of the Tecnologias de Produção e Indústria de Produto, more specifically in innovative products of high appended value (TIC applied to industrial – robotics, electronics, nano-technology,…), being recognized as such in January of the current year.
This acknowledgment values all the efforts, competence, and capacity of our team in differentiating themselves of the competition, also being a means to establish new partnerships in the realization of I&D projects, with the possibility of access to community support focused on I&D.
In sum, innovation is the success of an idea, accomplished in something real with impact in society. We are certain that, not with this acknowledgement but with basis on our competences and acquired knowledge, we will continue at the disposal of the industry, with new products and processes, capable of solidifying the competition of our partners, increasing value to the solutions available on the market.
