The past friday, at FORAVE's facilities, a workshop regarding industrial robotics was held.
About 40 students of the 1st and 2nd year of Técnico de Eletrónica, Automação e Comando professional course by FORAVE - ASSOSIAÇÃO PARA A EDUCAÇÃO DO VALE DO AVE, got a better understanding of Roboplan, Yaskawa and of the world of industrial robotics.
Inserted on the scope of the Automação e Comando course, more specifically on the Industrial Robotics unit, this session had the main goal to raise awareness regarding the Yaskawa Motoman industrial robots’ brand, as well as the automation process and the use of robots in an industrial setting, highlighting some other themes such as security in robotic systems.
Over the presentation, the students raised questions towards our team, having the opportunity to interact and work on a little program in a YASKAWA Motoman GP7 robot.
To Carlos Nunes, professor, and coordinator of the course, "this type of events contributes towards the development of apprenticeships/competences for the students" and he also states that these initiatives "Can help in reducing school dropouts, increasing motivation towards their area of interest in the course, due to them serving as motivating factors to keep studying in their qualified areas of work, that present themselves with a high market demand."
At the end of the session, the students highlighted the opportunity of handling the robot as well as the sharing of some videos about real projects that have already been completed by our team.
Moreover, José Miguel Rodrigues, our Sales Manager, states that "this type of initiatives goes according to our approximation to the academic community policy, which allows to reinforce Yaskawa and Roboplan's image, as well as giving important inputs to the students that will integrate, in the close future, the demanding labor market, such as the robotics market is."
We take this opportunity to leave our public gratefulness to FORAVE for the hospitality and affinity that they showed towards our team.
